YOGA CLASSES HAVE RESUMED!

 COVID PROTOCOL:  Please do not come to class if you have symptoms.  Wear a mask into the studio and keep it on until you are on your mat.  Bring your own mat.

CLASSES

GENTLE YOGA

Tuesdays 

8:30-9:45am &

10:15 - 11:30 am

Fridays

10:00-11:15 

This is the easiest class.  The pace is slow, more time is spent warming up and yoga postures are not held long.  This is a good class for those new to yoga, seniors and those with moderate limitations.

 

FLOW YOGA I

Tuesdays

4:00pm - 5:15pm &

5:45pm - 7:00pm

The challenge increases in this class due to a bit quicker pace so as to include more postures and longer holds.

SLOW FLOW YOGA

Wednesdays 

5:45-7:00 PM

As the name implies, the pace is somewhat slower, and the core of the class is less challenging then FLOW1.  This is a good choice for those new to yoga, those with mild limitations or wanting an easier class.

FLOW YOGA II

Thursdays

10:00am - 11:15am &

5:45pm - 7:00pm

This class kicks it up a bit in regards to demand due to pace, vinyasa flow, balance sequences and longer holds.

POSTURE THERAPY

We have become increasingly dependent upon modern transportation, technology and automation to facilitate our tasks. Consequently, we are no longer developing and maintaining the skeleton and the postural muscles that naturally support ourselves through the physical demands of daily chores. As a result, our musculoskeletal system is unable to mature according to design and we develop compensated structures and motor skills. When the integrity of postural muscles is compromised, the whole skeletal system is affected. The hip girdle changes its tilt, the back changes its curve and the whole body begins to compensate - creating misalignments. These misalignments lead to abnormal wear and tear in the joints as well as pain.

Give Sheri a call, send her an email or text. She will gladly answer your questions and further explain the process. We then would meet privately to begin with assessment and a menu of exercises selected for you.

Yoga Instructor and Posture Specialist

For over 20 years the focus of my career has been Wellness. In 1995 I became a Licensed Massage Therapist – and a Certified Yoga Instructor through Integrated Yoga Therapy in 2001.  I completed an additional Certification through Living Spirit Yoga in 2009.  In 2012 I became certified as a Posture Alignment Specialist using the Egoscue Method. Since then, I have incorporated these principles and exercises into my yoga classes. I have been passionate about teaching others how to reduce their musculoskeletal pain by improving their posture and moving more.
